You will be glad you dropped by.
(1) The HP Pavilion a6200n with the original Vista 32 bit OS does not support over 4GB of RAM.
(2) Memory config: Supports only the use of 2GB DDR2 DIMMs. Supports up to 8 GB on 64 bit PCs
Supports up to 4 GB* on 32 bit PCs, but the 32 bit PCs cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
BTW<>PC2-5300f is used in servers. It is buffered, parity. It would not fit into your system.

The original system was 32 bit...Here is my unit, its 64 bit.
