I got my WDF-Violation error after Norton notified me to reboot after an update, I am able to boot if I use the Esc key and use the boot manager to boot. If this gives anybody any insight into this problem, let me know

I had the same exact problem after a driver update (actually a deinstall of product that had a driver). There was no way out of it other than recovery disk (which put me back at windows 😎 and re-install of everything. Fortunately, I had a relatively recent backup of windows 8.1. I seriously don't get why a roll-back was not possible. The system acted like I had no restore points.
Morale of the story is to make a backup once you successfully updated to windows 10 so you can restore that. I use Acronis Trueimage to make a backup to an external hard drive.
But, I just get the feeling there is something really foul in windows 10 handling driver updates. It should always be possible to roll back one way or the other.
