Windows 10 reset on HP Envy Dv6

HP Recommended
HP Envy Dv6 7227nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I tried, unsuccessfully, to add another user to my laptop, I experienced several failures.  Although the new user showed up as an option (after following the online instructions), I could not sign on with the new user.  Each time I tried, something else seemed to go wrong.  Now my start menu does not work.  I cannot get to a restore point farther back than 2 weeks ago.  My keyboard stopped working.  Reset options all failed to complete.

Microsoft tried and said the only viable option left was to do a clean install of Windows 10.  Subsequently they said my model could not support Windows 10, although I was able to run it after an update from HP following the original release of Windows 10.  I need my laptop back.

Hi:

That would be your only option...to clean install W10.

HP does not support your PC for W10, but you may be able to use the latest drivers available from the support page for any hardware that is not installed by W10.

I have notebook PC's a whole lot older than yours that run W10 just fine.

It just depends on if the older drivers will work or not.
