HP Wireless x4000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I first got my mouse, the scroll wheel worked fine, but recently it's been having trouble. Sometimes when I scroll up or down, it scrolls the opposite way (sometimes just a little and sometimes quite a bit).

If I'm scrolling a page or zooming on a program, it jumps around a lot regardless of me only scrolling in 1 direction.

I don't think it's a driver problem, as I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times to no avail. It might be somethng pysichally amiss with the mouse, but I don't know enough about the structure of computer mice to diagnose an issue.

I don't know what to do. Any help with this would be really appreciated.

Thank you for the reply, but niether of those things seem to work.

I went under 'The mouse does not track well (skips)' in the first link, but I have already tried all the things listed and none worked.

I've also tried diagnosing the device, but it picked up nothing.

Do you have an idea of what else I could do?
