You'll enjoy the microcode update process with the FDD.  It will be a breeze once you get the FDD.

 

Starting with the dc7600, you can upgrade the microcode with a USB flash drive, but the process is complicated.

 

You need DOS command files, a HP usb format tool, as well as the microcode update files, to do that process.

 

I have helped at least a couple dozen folks on this forum with updating the microcodes on the dc7600's to the 8200 Elites.

 

I attach all the files they need to do the job.
