HP Recommended
Product: HP 500-118
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

 can't get into safe mode no matter what i do.  f11 at start up computer stays on blank screen then shuts off

 

tried msconfig.exe  boot tab  check safe then restart just takes you to normal mode.

 

restart+shift.... advanced setting..... didn't  work either.

 

did a reset pc from recovery partititon that didn't work did a refresh pc did recovery manager that didn't work

 

did a factory reset using usb flashdrive that didn't work either.

 

did a F2  extenstive test on all hardware passed(3hr)

 

having problems with not just getting into safe mode but creating a system restore point get non transient error can't update to windows 8.1 all of this stuff even after factory reset 

 

weird

 

 

any help i would be greatful

also did a kaspersky virus  scan nothing and malwarebytes scan nothing.
