Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

in right pane under name it shows (default) and under data (vaule not set)    Since the cd does not show up in device manager on the 23-q116 and on my pavillion a367c the same as above shows name  (default)  and under data it shows

DVD/CD-ROM drivers

I have been dealing with this for months.  the community has helped some but I may not have asked the right questions.

I want the cd back, even subscribed to driver support and they are about useless.

do you see the cd-rom drive in DEVICE MANAGER? I think its a driver problem

no I don't see the cd rom in device manager.   I have downloaded the cd driver from driver support and it still does not show up in device manager....  grown men aren't supposed to cry .... right?
