Hello

Some device driver is in invalid power state. Could be corrupt or old driver that needs updating.

Does error message on bluescreen give more information on which device is cause?

Check dump file in %systemroot% folder for detail.

I do not get a message as to what driver is causing it.. only to record "Driver_power_state_failure" as the error to supply to support teams.

I was also having an issue where my WiFi would "act up" if my computer ever went to sleep and then woke up for use. I would have to restart to normalize  the wifi.. I read this driver may be the cause so I updated it but I still got the crash page with the same error after doing so.

Im not sure what %systemroot% is.  im not very computer inclined

Hello

Thank you for WIFI info.

Maybe try uninstall WIFI current driver and then reinstall driver clean again.

Go to Control Panel, Device Manager and look for Network adapters. Then open and right-click on Wireless driver and uninstall. Then remove driver if asked and reboot PC. Then reinstall HP Wifi driver again.

I try to see if HP has newer driver for you but model you give is not exact.

Also possible there is a different driver causing problem.

You sre welcome.

Sorry for confusion. I thought you had Wifi driver to reinstall as you did it before.

Open "Device Manager".

Double-click on the WiFi adapter hardware.

Click on the "Power Management" tab.

Remove the check-mark from "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Click OK.

Then, the next time that your computer goes to "sleep", the WiFi card will continue to be available after the computer "wakes" up.
