Presumably, you need the "Windows Login" password, not the "Hardware Power-On" password.

Google-search for "Nordahl offline password".

Download this software, and burn it to a CD-recordable disk.

Boot your computer from this CD, and follow the on-screen instructions to "blank" the Windows password.

Reboot your computer, from your 'C:' drive.

When asked for the Windows Login password, just press ENTER.

Set a new password.

Get it tattoo'd onto your body.

Best practices: Change your password, and your tattoo, every month.  🙂

Old Viking joke:  crew, we've been at sea for a month, so it's time to change your underwear.

Ole, change with Sven.  Peder, change with Haakon.   🙂
