Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP Envy 5540 printer and you are unable to print through wireless connection.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- Are you getting any error message while printing wireless?
Meanwhile:
- Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity.
- Set the default printer and unpause printing.
- Reset the printer and check the connection status.
- Make sure the correct port is selected.
- Update the printer firmware.
Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.
(Note: Though the title of the printer is different, these steps should fix the issue)
Let me know if that works.
Cheers.
