Hi:
if you don't care what happens to your existing installation and files, reboot the PC (If you can't reboot it, just press and hold the power button until it shuts off.
Turn it back on and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, tap the F11 key to launch the recovery manager.
Follow the prompts to get to the system recovery option and select the factory recovery.

Hi:
You may have to order recovery disks for your PC by reading the info at the link below.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07143
If recovery disks are not available for your model, I may have an alternative solution for you but I need to know:
1. What model PC do you have and what operating system are you running?
2. Can you read all 25 of the characters on the Microsoft Windows product key on the sticker on your PC's case?

Hi:
Please edit your message and remove the product key.
I need to know what operating system is installed so I can send you the procedure to make your own windows vista or windows 7 installation DVD.
The procedures are much different for a vista disk than a w 7 disk. But since you can read the product key, you should be able to use this alternative method (provided someone has not stolen the key you posted and used it).

Hi:
You should be able to figure that out by going to the support and driver page for your touchsmart model.
Under the product specs you will find what version of Vista (32 or 64 bit) came with your PC.
Here are the instructions to make your Vista installation disk.
Please make sure to carefully read my notes, because if you just follow the person who wrote the procedure, on the link, he had a mistake and a couple of omissions, which I clarified.
If you're up to a slight but rewarding challenge you can make your own if you can read your 25 character Vista product key on the PC.
Just download the 3 files you need at the link below, and read all of the instructions to create a bootable DVD installation disk using imageburn.
Disregard the part of the text under the first screen shot about "extract the files to the Vista folder."
The files were already extracted to that folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screen shot.
The other thing I noticed is on the 4th screen shot, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in myself, and then the other codes automatically populated.
When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message that about a WIM file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.
I selected No, make the ISO file.
It was not that hard to do. I burned both the 64 bit disk and the 32 bit disk in case I ever need them.
I tested both of them an my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, they worked perfectly.
When you enter the product key, it knows what version of Vista you have.
After you successfully install Vista, you can then install the drivers from your PC's support and driver page.
