The product specs for your monitor show that it has a VGA and a DVI-V connection. Neither of these connections carry audio, so you'll need to connect the monitor to your PC using audio cables. This HP document has illustrations showing how to make the connection.
If your cable connections are correct, try the troubleshooting steps in this document:
Troubleshooting Sound Problems with Monitor Speakers HP 2010i 20 inch Diagonal LCD Monitor
Good luck!
