how do you turn on integrated speakers on a hp2010i desk top computer

The product specs for your monitor show that it has a VGA and a DVI-V connection. Neither of these connections carry audio, so you'll need to connect the monitor to your PC using audio cables.  This HP document has illustrations showing how to make the connection.

I can't figure out how to get sound from my integrated speakers on my HP 2010i.  Could anyone  help?
