Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased an HP 18-5210 All-in-One computer last year (May 2016), which came with Windows 8.1 preinstalled. Of course, I almost immediately upgraded to Windows 10. Unfortunately, the activation key that was supplied with the upgrade does not work with the Windows 10 ISO file that I downloaded from Microsoft.

Presumably I need an OEM installation disk from HP that would accept the new activation key. Can anyone please provide a download location where I can download the HP OEM ISO?

Hi,

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Your machine came with Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit) pre-installed and you upgraded it to Windows 10 Home 64 bit (I believe) . Now, you wish to perform a fresh install Windows 10 using ISO file. Please SKIP the the step to enter Windows key and continue. Windows 10 will activate itself when you come online the first time.

Regards.

But will It have the Microsoft version of Win 10 or the HP OEM version?

According to the "experts" on the community Win10 forums, the OEM version of Win10 is the same as the Retail version -- the difference is in the licensing, and since your PC has already been Upgraded to Win10 by Microsoft, you don't have to worry about that.

Good Luck
