Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Getting this on a friends HP all in one that I offered to take a look at:

 

Hard drive SMART Check: PASSED

 

Hard Drive short DST Check: FAILED

 

FAILURE ID: 60FJX-0008LP-PXPAXG-60T503

 

PRODUCT ID: H3Y89AA#ABA

 

His PC has been getting ridiculously slow on start up recently and getting frequent boot drive inaccessible messages which are now so bad Windows 8 is just in an infinite reboot. I ran the HP tests through F2 on startup and the hard drive check came up with the message above.

 

When F8 on boot up none of the troubleshooting options seem to be present.

 

My question is, does anyone know what the ID means as I can't seem to find anything online, is the HDD salvagable or is it best to order a replacement (as the PC is just in warranty) ?

Sounds like you need to replace the HDD.
