Hi,
CD/DVD Drive is a Plug and Play Device, its Drivers are loaded from Windows Drivers Repository at Startup, we do not have to download and install them seperately.
Do you see any Yellow mark in Device Manager for CD/DVD Drive, when you double click on Yellow marked entry, does it give Error Code: 10/19/28/32/39/42?
If it gives any one of the codes above, follow the steps given below.
Right click on CD/DVD Drive Name in Device Manager and click Uninstall.
Click on the URL given below, click Run, and click Yes to add the file to Registry.

Click Action tab on Device Manager Window, and click Scan for Hardware changes.

This is NOT true; drive may be plug-and-play for burning CD's, but you need LightScribe drivers to enable LightScribe functionality! Without those LightScribe drivers, the software that allows you to create the labels that you burn onto the label side of the disc will NOT detect that you have a LightScribe-capable drive (at least, my CyberLink LabelPrint software doesn't detect my LightScribe drive; it just detects my laptop's built-in LabelFlash drive).
