Product: compaq 6200
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

full error message    

"Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_11020041&REV_1000\5&17217eda&2&0101 requires further installation."  Computer recognizes card, but does not appear as record or playback device.  Uninstalled and reinstalled several times, both hardware and driver.  Creative Labs says they have never seen this before.

Hi:

 

Very odd indeed, as the hardware ID you posted is for a Realtek HD audio chip.

 

I would think that you need this driver for that device...Accept the agreement.  Download and install the 2nd driver on the list.
