Thankyou, it solved my problem. it all went wrong when it did an automatic update , something to do with updating the bios.

Thanks HP , Im back to normal status on my lappy ! had to reset the laptop few months back as cudnt understand why it went crazy ... ( not Virus ) but some issue in software since then the HP assistant wasnt working !! 

will be more on schedule, this lappy is not very old Just 12 months ..

I can't find HP Support in my add and remove programs. Could it be uner another name.

TheThen when I go to the site that was giving I don't see d/load it just got options like driver and things.
