I want the menus to be locked

but the warning message is in the middle of the screen with no apparent way of removing it

the forums say it will disappear after 10 seconds

clearly not

the entire reason i wanted to lock the on-screen menus were so it wouldn't pop up and annoy me randomly

this is even worse

@TueLJ

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

This is a great place to get support, find answers to your technical queries.

I understand that the OSD menu need not worry I'll be glad to assist you.

To remove the OSD Lockout message, release the Menu button (if something was pressing against it), and press and hold the Menu button again for about 10 seconds - until the message goes away. If the OSD Lockout message does not go away, the button may be stuck or the hardware behind the button might have become defective.
