Both

the new ram and the re-install of the old ram were easy installations; cards easily went into slots and tabs seated cards and with smooth clicks and  no issues.

@Ontrack123 -- no issues

Are you indicating that your computer now works with ONLY the original RAM inserted?

Are you indicating that your computer now works with ONLY the new RAM inserted?

Are you indicating that your computer now works with BOTH the the original RAM and the new RAM inserted?

Or, are you indicating that NONE of the RAM you have available allows the computer to start up?

Can you test the 4 sticks of RAM, one at a time, in a different computer, just to rule-out any problematic stick?

I hope that you did not "flex" the motherboard when you inserted some RAM, to break something inside the motherboard, to cause it to "fail".

Not good
have you tried the two old ones, in each slot?
There if nothing works, you may have a serious problem following the replacement

if you answered this, and regardless of the memory location, the memory module used, the computer, does not start anymore
then either the incorrect modules have damaged the system!
either by carrying out the manipulation you have been the victim of static electricity
Your motherboard may be dead!
If you start without any modules does it beep
Not a proof in itself, but if it does not beep it probably confirms a faulty motherboard
describe in any case, what happens at the start!
start-up, fan on or off, etc.!

I never said it didn’t come on. I said the screen was blank. I re-installed and now the monitor is displaying.

and the monitor is still blank. Pc was working before the memory was disconnected and reinstalled.

sorry, this was not clear to me.
you had written "and the monitor is still blank" and that it was working before
so for me it didn't work!
so finally you say, does it work with old and new modules?

sorry, but the explanations are not very clear
maybe because of the translation!!
