Hello,
I have many t510 clients that have dual monitors, and we have been able to extend the second screen to the right or left of the primary just fine on ThinPro 4.4 OS.
We recently upgraded to ThinPro 5.0 and now 5.1, and now the second screen only is a mirror, it no longer extends, no matter what the settings are.
Anyone else have this issue? Is this a bug or is there a fix for this?
By the way, this works fine on our t610, just not the t510.
Thanks

I have determined my issue is due to broken support / incompatibility with a Startech.com VGA to DVI adpater that we use. This is the one we use, and it worked on ThinPro 4.4, but not on 5.0 or 5.1:
Once I change to a native DVI monitor it works fine.
The problem is all of our dual monitor T510 users have older VGA only montors with these adpaters, which worked fine before I updated. Now I have to roll back losing the features of the newer OS just to get the dual monitors back.

I've done some tests and it's an HP issue... the xorg.conf isn't generated as it should when using HDMI to DVI adaptors...
When I run xrandr I the display with HDMI to DVI adaptor connected to the DVI-D connector is showing as HDMI-1 instead of DVI-2...
In the xorg.conf I replaced every DVI-2 entries with HDMI-1 and I've done a chattr +i on xorg.conf to prevent hptc-display-prefs to overwrite it and I got my extended desktop, of course this is NOT an option for production and we can't correct that easily since UNFORTUNATELLY hptc-display-prefs is not open source!
HP team should get to work on this issue ASAP, it should be something quick to correct by an update...
