Hi:
W7 has the programming to work the away mode, but not the driver.
So, I have attached what is known as a "Null Driver," which will trick the device into installing.
Download and unzip the file I have attached below into its folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the ACPI\AWY0001device. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse My Computer for Driver Software and browse to the folder that you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
That way your device manager should be clean and green.
