Hi, I am trying to update the bios of a compaq DC7700, using the drivers provided on your website
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=3232104&swItemId=vc_80219_1&swEnvOid=4059...
and following the procedure specified on one of your discussion in the forum
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Compaq-DC7700-CMT-Desktop-Lat...
"When you download the BIOS file run it, and the first thing that will pop up is a web page-like set of instructions for all of the BIOS flash methods.
I like the easy method of formatting a usb flash drive in the FAT 32 file system, copying the contents of the DOS flash folder to the usb flash drive, plugging the flash drive into the PC, booting up the PC, tapping the F10 key to access the BIOS at the begining of the HP welcome screen and using the "Flash System ROM" menu in the BIOS."
unfortunately it gives an error "file is missing or damage"
could anyone please help me out
Regards
Stevex

Hi:
That file is not a BIOS update.
There are major issues with the support pages and many of the files are missing including the BIOS files.
HP is aware of it but there is no ETA for a fix.
You can look at this post below where I have attached the dos based flash files if you have the dc7700 sff or cmt.
However this update is only for PC's with a version 1.xx bios.
You have to flash the BIOS from the flash system rom command in the BIOS's file menu by putting the files I attached onto a fat-32 formatted usb flash drive.
You plug the flash drive in a usb port, restart the PC, tap the F10 key to enter the BIOS.
I do not have anything connected to the PC but the keyboard, mouse and monitor and the flash drive when I update the BIOS' on my HP business desktop PC's.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your help, before I do anything, the current version of my bios is 786E1 v02.10, in the link you posted me there is the v1.16 which should be the last release.
Could you please confirm me that it is the upgraded version?
I had also forgotten to mention, I have got the convertible mini tower.
Thanks again for your help

You're very welcome, @stevex84 :
Unfortunately, you won't be able to use that one.
You will have to wait until HP restores the driver files to the support pages and you will need to use the BIOS updates for the vPro configuration.

Hi Paul,
Thanks again for your support, as you said we don't know when the website will be restore, is there any way that I can contact them and request the updated bios?
I bought a Nvidia Ge force video card
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301681013785?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and I will need the BIOS update to make it work.
Thanks again for the help

Hi, Steve:
You can see if filling out this forum gets you anywhere...
https://ssl.www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/connect-with-hp.html
I was informed by an HP administrator who looked into this matter for me last week, that it is going to be a while to fix due to a backlog of work.
This is crazy. The business support pages have been missing tons of drivers for almost a month now!
From what I can tell, it affects almost every HP business desktop and notebook made from around 2010 and earlier.
