I think my motherboard could be out-of-date.
I have a HP Pavilion HPE h9-1000be Phoenix Destop PC. on Windows 7 (64-bit)
The PC's motherboard is from PEGATRON CORPORATION; model 2AB5 (CPU 1) version 1.01
BIOS AMI Version 7.12
But i can't find anywhere information or updates of this motherboard?

Unless you are having issues it is best to leave it alone. Murphy's law paraphrased says that if it works and you disturb it then whatever can go wrong will go wrong.
The support portal for your desktop is here and there is one BIOS update available.
Don't forget Murphy's law! 😉

If you connect the game controller to another PC does it work?
What kind of game controller is it?
Is the issue present in all USB ports or in just one pair?
Best regards,
erco

i doubt the bios would cause the usb not to work but if the usb is working for other devices
maybe you need the drivers for your game controller and you can go to the site of the product manufacture and look for the drivers
without the drivers the device will not work
good points or advice..
Aslo if the questions or issues solved please check it

I can't test it on a other pc. But it does work on a PS3.
Its a Racing wheel. Thrustmaster T500RS. I have 2. both whit the same problem.
Yes it has the same problem one all ports.
Windows says the devices are working fine. But in reality they don't.

that BIOS in the link, is it compatible whit my motherboard, becaus it has a other "number/name"?
Anyways, ofcourse I have installed the latest drivers of the steering wheel. Coincidence or not the problems started after the latest update. Nevertheless thrustmaster believes my wheel is working how it should be. Just like the staff of the sim(game) i play believe the game works. Just like you say my BIOS/USB is fine. its difficult to help someone when you are at the other side of the world/line/or PC. But i really tried everything what comes to mind.
Like changing options in the sim, change diffrent options in windows, tried diffrent wall sockets to connect the wheel, tried other USB-ports, updated everything i know on my PC, tried a brand new power supply for the weel, re-installed the latest drivers again and again, whit software i cleaned and fixed problems on my pc, removed dust, dismounted the T500RS wheel and put it back together...but in the end it didn't help.
I just wait for a other answer of thrustmaster, & maybe new updates for the wheel and the game. if it then still does not work i will update the BIOS. I hope it then works, otherwise i just throw it through the window 😉

Use CPU-z to verify the name of the motherboard. Use the mainbooard tab. The following screenshot is from this desktop PC.
That needs to be done before considering BIOS update as an option.
The support portal shows the IPISB-CH2 (Chicago) by Pegatron as the motherboard. That is the omotherboard that the BIOS ROM file I referred to is for.

Hello,
I am in need of some advice regarding my HP Touchsmart 600-1155 desktop computer with Windows 7 64-bit. My computer shuts down without a moments notice sporatically and I am not sure why. I have checked to see if there are any updates with HP but things are good on that end. I have checked to see if there is an update to the BIOS, but am having trouble since the manufacturer is Pegatron. I am not very computer savvy, but I know the basics..the only thing I could think of is that someone is constantly hacking my computer and so it shuts down to protect data. Can anyone explain why this might be happening and is there something I could do to stop it, its very inconvienent. Thanks
