Hi
I have a HP all in one computer monitor which has a hdmi port to the rear. i want to connect my sky box to this so i can use just one screen rather than 2 however i believe that this is only a hdmi out put.
can it be converted to receive or is there another solution?
Thanks

Oops! I misread your question. The following suggestion is not suitable for your setup.
See: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dynex-3-port-hdmi-switch-black/2058023.p?skuId=2058023
for a "HDMI switch" for receiving up to 3 HMDI signals, and outputing 1 HDMI signal (to your monitor). About $30 US.

Yes, you need a "tuner" device, connecting to a USB port on your computer, plus software on your computer.
I tried a few searches, but did not find a device with HDMI input, just coaxial:

Does your existing TV-reception box also have coaxial output?
Coax cable, like an HDMI cable, will carry both audio and video signals.

> No it does not have a coax output. it has HDMI only.
I looked at: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connecting-a-new-tv-to-your-sky-q-box
and it does say "only HDMI output".
Like I said, I only did a "quick" search, not an "exhaustive" search for a device with HDMI input and USB output (to your computer).
I hope this helps.
