Hello - have new monitor 20'' W207a - haven't used the CD contained in packaging and there was no instruction use/care book - just a picture how to attach monitor to it's 'stand' !   - what will  CD  do - what is it for - do i need it ?   thanks in advance -

It isn't needed. That is because operating systems (Windows, OSX , Chrome and Linux) have their own drivers  for monitors (and displays) included. All you need to do is connect the monitor to a PC or notebook.

 

The CD normally includes the manual in pdf format for the monitor (or display). You can find the same information at the support website.

The disk I have does not open.

The menu is OSD lockout.

None of suggestions  listed (answers when I googled) to change it work. (I didn't try to open the backpanel, don't dare.)

I want to change the brightness and don't see any way how to do it.

Press button 5 ( the farthest button to the left) as seen in the image below. It should bring up the OSD. Use buttons 3 & 4 to navigate in the OSD menu.
