Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Sorry, but I don't understand what you're trying to do -- as "downloading" is the process of copying something from a Website to your PC, and you wouldn't use a CD for that.
Is this a data CD, and audio CD, or a video?
I presume you are trying to copy the contents of the CD to your hard drive, so what application are you using?
Also, what is happening when you do that -- telling us it's not working is not enough information.
We can proceed when you provide the information.
