Ibackup locations shellfolder Impl HKCR\interface\Foe3a5d7-80c7-4228-90fe-61df01-c417a5 could not be located. It suggests to delete it. Should I do this? If yes how do I? Also when I run slowpcfighter I get anywhere from 60 to 90 empty registery keys how do I fix this?

Hi Bebo,
First, I would recommend against registry cleaners. From my experience, they cause more harm than good. Most of these tools make promises they can't keep. The tools don't know all the registry settings that all devices and software add to the registry, so they seek to wipe out anything they don't understand, which means they generally wipe out legitimate registry entries. This then leaves your system in worse shape than before you used it. I've seen registry cleaners make it so the PC had to be completely recovered (losing all personal data) because the registry cleaner "cleaned" the keyboard and mouse entries, which made it so the user couldn't do anything with the PC.
Be very cautious with these registry cleaners. Research any registry key you don't understand before "cleaning" it. Just google the registry key and see if someone has information posted on it.
Also, there are rarely reasons to "clean" the registry. It's better to locate the problem you are having and work with the registry values related to that particular problem. I've been working with computers for nearly 20years and I hardly ever have to go into the registry to fix something. When I do go into the registry, I back it up first just incase I make a mistake and have to start over.

Point well taken, HP employee. Do you have any comment specific to the problem brought up by CCleaner, namely, 'missing typelib reference'? I have the same 'problem'. Could this be a case where a legitimate entry is not recognized as such? Perhaps the question should be more properly directed to CCleaner support. The case is still open. Thank you.

Hi,
Try JV16 Power Tools and see if the registry fix solves your issue. I use this product and it works quite well. Take backups and a Windows restore point before using any registry cleaner and fix product. This product might have a free trial period.

Believe it or not there is a website for IBackup (for Mac). Don't know why it's on my pc. Anyway I also have at least 15 of those missing typelib.... findings. Are they missing registry keys? That's what I thought but I'm not sure so I'll have to keep them. Most are from a new version of Adobe Reader (DC). I think many times missing registry keys don't really hurt anything, but They clutter your registry. All this based on Very ametuer research, but maybe you'll feel a little more at ease?

Here is what ccleaner says when I uncheck thes files:
The TypeLib referenced at: Interface\{2CE4D4CF-B278-4126-AD1E-B622DA2E8339} could not be located. These references are often left behind after uninstalling software.
Solution: Delete the registry key
It makes sense if they couldn't be located. But again, are they really harmful or just clutter?
