CS10 MOUSE

I got my CS10 combo a month back and everything was going good until today when my mouse stopped powering on. I tried changing batteries and even reconnecting the Bluetooth dongle to no avail. The keyboard is working so its not a connectivity issue either.

When I turn it on there is a brief red light flash  and then everything stops. No idea what is happening. It just been one month and the mouse then not working is very disappointing.

Hi @Aron99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and don’t worry let me help you.

Thank you for sharing the details you’ve already tried like replacing the batteries and reconnecting the dongle that helps narrow things down.

To assist you better, could you let me know:

  • Whether the mouse was dropped or exposed to liquid recently.
  • If the red light flash happens every time you switch it on, or only occasionally.

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:.

  1. Test with another USB port – Even though the keyboard works, trying the dongle in a different port can rule out port-specific issues.
  2. Re-pair the mouse – If your combo supports pairing, try pressing the connect button on the mouse (usually near the battery compartment) and then on the dongle.
  3. Surface check – Optical sensors can sometimes fail to detect movement on glossy or reflective surfaces. Try using the mouse on a plain, non-reflective surface.
  4. Driver update – Ensure your system has the latest drivers installed for the CS10 combo. You can check this in Device Manager under “Mice and other pointing devices.”

I hope this helps.
