HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam

I have an HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam. I have downloaded the HP Accessory Center and other suggested software. When I use the HPAC camera in Teams I get the image but it is interrupted every few seconds by a screen that says "HP Presence" along with a camera icon with a line drawn through it. I have done everything Support has suggested but can't get rid of the "HP Presence" interruption. Can anyone help?

Hi @RBG52,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing an issue where your HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam flashes "HP Presence" when using it in Microsoft Teams, it could be related to the webcam's firmware or driver. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Update Webcam Driver: Visit the official HP website and download the latest driver for your webcam model. Install the driver and restart your computer. This step ensures you have the most up-to-date software for your device.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Some webcams have firmware updates available that can address compatibility issues. Visit the HP support website, locate your webcam model, and check if there are any firmware updates available. Follow the instructions provided to update the firmware if necessary.
  • Restart Microsoft Teams: Close Microsoft Teams completely and restart the application. Sometimes, restarting the software can resolve temporary glitches or conflicts.
  • Test the Webcam in Other Applications: Check if the issue persists when using the webcam with other applications, such as Skype or Zoom. This helps determine whether the problem is specific to Microsoft Teams or affects all applications.
  • Check Teams Settings: Within Microsoft Teams, go to the Settings menu and select "Devices." Make sure your HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam is selected as the default camera. You can also try toggling the "Allow apps to access your camera" setting off and then back on.
  • Reconnect the Webcam: Disconnect the webcam from your computer and reconnect it. Ensure it is properly connected to a USB port and not loose or partially connected.
  • Try a Different USB Port: If possible, connect the webcam to a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, USB ports can experience issues, and using a different port can help resolve them.
  • Test on a Different Computer: If you have access to another computer, try connecting the webcam to that device and check if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to your computer or the webcam itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
