Reverb G2

I am at a loss right now... I keep trying to register the Reverb G2 headset I bought directly from HP a few months ago, but every time I try it says "please enter a valid serial number" I have tried typing the 0 as a 0 and as an O and neither one works. Worst of all... HP support is so restricted that I can't even contact a human without a valid serial number!! How are you supposed to troubleshoot issues with serial numbers when you're not even allowed in the front door without one? This is absurd. I've searched this community forum and found numerous similar posts about people having this same problem, but no viable solutions. If a support agent sees this, can you please please help me get this product registered to my account?? I would be very grateful!

I was able to reach a rep using the general support number [Personal Information Removed] (I live in the US), who told me that he had no way to help me with registering my product... however if I needed warranty support, he said I could always call the number again and they would help me.
