I can't seem to find a way to change the refresh rate on the monitor in the OSD. Is there something I'm missing?

I don't have that particular monitor, but I will offer a suggestion that may or may not work.

what graphics card are you using?

Is the option to run 144Hz not showing up in the graphic cards Control Panel?

Are you connected via Display Port (best)?

 

Somewhere in the OSD, there should be a setting for choosing the response time to (Fastest). If not, is there an option that enables Overdrive?

Do that and exit out.

Go back in and see if there is an option to enable Freesync and do that.

 

If you can do that, go into the graphic cards control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel) and enable G-Sync or (AMD Adrenalin or AMD Control Settings- what ever they call it now) and enable Freesync. Exit out.

NOTE: If there is not option to enable G-Sync in the NVIDIA control panel after the OSD adjustments, then the monitor is not compatible with G-Sync, only Freesync (according to NVIDIAs comp list).

 

Now you hopefully should now see the option for 144Hz in the graphic cards control panel or Windows Advanced display settings.
