HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there, I have been having troubles with the new laptop I got. I got it from JB-HI-FI on clearance but it came without a charger. An employee recommeneded a charger so I bought it, now it's popping up with ‘For Full Performance, connect a higher capacity Power Adapter’ - I'm not sure what I should do now, should I try look for another charger?

@Zeyton

Which model Pavilion do you have specifically? I need to Product number to look it up.

It can be found in the HP Support Assistant.

The Product ID is 00325-80172-89848-AAOEM

That is the wrong number.

Click on the Windows Start menu and go to H > HP Help and Support and open the HP Support Assistant.

In the new Window that opens, there should be a Product Number at the bottom.

It will be 7 digits long with numbers and letters.

Are you able to find that?

4SR17PA#ABG - Is this it?

Yes that is it. Your full model number is HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0157tx.

That model takes a 200W ADAPTER PFC SMART SLIM  part number L00818-850

Unfortunately HP does not sell those separately. You would have to look one up via a third party seller online.

Looking those up, they show as 19.5V   10.3A

IF the amperage is a little higher, its OK,  but the Voltage needs to be the exact same.
