Hi, I bought a HP 240 mouse April 2024 (so still in warranty) and over the last month the mouse randomly stops working. I've been able to resolve by unpairing, resetting the mouse (middle & right buttons etc) and re-pairing. But today this is now also not working.
The mouse shows as paired in Windows bluetooth list, but no response from any buttons/movement.
I feel the mouse just needs replacing now. I bought from Amazon and their support directs me to the HP website. However the HP website gives me an infinite loop of telling me there's no support options in the UK for my product!
Can anyone provide contact details of who I can talk to in order to get the mouse replaced please?

Hi @x360-Spectre,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering persistent issues with your HP 240 mouse, even after unpairing and resetting it. Since the mouse shows as paired in Windows but isn't responding, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check for Interference: If you're using the mouse over Bluetooth, ensure there are no devices causing interference, such as other Bluetooth devices, wireless routers, or USB 3.0 devices nearby.
Reboot the System: Restart your computer to see if that helps reset any connectivity issues between the mouse and Windows.
Uninstall/Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers:
- Open Device Manager (press Windows + X and select Device Manager).
- Expand the Bluetooth section, right-click on the Bluetooth adapter, and select Uninstall device.
- After uninstalling, restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the Bluetooth drivers.
Update Bluetooth Drivers: Ensure that your Bluetooth drivers are up-to-date:
- Open Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth device, and select Update driver. You can also visit your PC manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.
Test the Mouse on Another Device: Try pairing the mouse with a different computer or device to rule out a hardware issue with the mouse itself.
Test with a USB Receiver: If the mouse has a USB receiver option, try using it instead of Bluetooth to see if the issue persists.
Check the Mouse Battery: If the mouse is rechargeable or uses replaceable batteries, check if the power level is low, as this can sometimes affect performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Solution posted for anyone else's future reference:
I got hold of another HP240 mouse and it was doing the same thing, which pointed to a laptop issue. I deleted the windows bluetooth driver and restarted, it seemed to install some newer drivers and has done the trick.
Note that I'm fairly sure it was playing up after a windows update too come to think of it...
