Hello. I recently purchased an HP 27xq and I noticed some weird things. It's free sync is set as a preset/mode in the monitor. Is there a way to enable this without having to go into this preset via osd? Also i was wondering if this monitor could support G-sync as well? I use the hdmi cables that come with it my rtx card doesn't show the G-sync option. Is this because i am not connected through dp cable?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, 

To get the answer to this question, you don't have G sync enabled by default because you don't have a G sync enabled monitor connected.
