I am not able to configure shorcuts for Visual Studio and assign buttons of HP Creator 930 mouse with HP accessory center. Other software like chrome, Visual studio Code are working fine.
Custom control for All Apps are also working inside Visual Studio. But when I select specific custom commands/shortcuts for Visual Studio, it won't work.
Any solution for this?

@Anoopk, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We see you are facing an issue with customizing the HP 930 Creator Mouse for Visual Studio using HP Accessory Center, here's a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue:
Update HP Accessory Center
Make sure you're using the latest version of the HP Accessory Center:
- Download or update from: HP Accessory Center - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
Run HP Accessory Center as Administrator
Sometimes, Visual Studio requires elevated permissions, and the accessory center might not apply shortcuts correctly unless it’s also run with admin rights:
- Right-click on HP Accessory Center > Run as Administrator
- Then try assigning the shortcuts again.
Use “All Apps” Profile Instead of App-Specific
Since you mentioned that “All Apps” custom controls work inside Visual Studio:
- Try assigning your desired shortcuts under the “All Apps” profile.
- This acts as a global override and often works better with apps that have elevated permissions like Visual Studio.
Check Visual Studio Shortcut Conflicts
Ensure that the shortcuts you're assigning to the mouse buttons are not already bound to other commands in Visual Studio:
- Go to Tools > Options > Keyboard in Visual Studio
- Search for the shortcut and see if it's already in use or conflicting.
Create a Custom Shortcut Script (Optional Workaround)
If direct assignment still fails, you can use a tool like AutoHotKey to map mouse buttons to keyboard shortcuts and run it alongside Visual Studio. Let me know if you'd like help setting that up.

I hope this helps.
