Hello!

I am a teacher and I need to teach from home now. I have a HP HD 4310 Webcam and it was working fine.

But now it just does not stop getting blurry and then autofocusing, all the time, literally all the time. It focuses and then gets blurry immediately and then focuses again and so on... It does not stop and it is impossible to shoot any video at all. The text I show on screen gets blurry all the time. How do I fix that?

I tried checking to buy a new one but there are no deliveries until end of June... I can't wait that long, my council is asking me to teach remotely now.

@cp-kin

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Have you tried updating the Webcam software?
  • What is the operating system?

While you respond to that, let's try updating the software from here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-hd-4310-webcam/5273433 ( choose your current Operating system )

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
