Hi:

Most likely the HDMI port in the notebook is video out only.

so im screwed?

As far as using your notebook's display to show images from an external source, yes.

how can i find out its notebook display?

cause im trying to find a way for the HDMI source to pop up

The HDMI port only works in one direction...out.

It will not recognize/pick up a HDMI out signal from an external source.

There's nothing that I know of you can do.

I don't know of any HP notebook or all in one desktop PC where the HDMI port is bi-directional.

They are all HDMI out only.
