HP Omen 27i Monitor

My OMEN 27i monitor screen was flickering, went black, and now won't turn back on. I tried connecting it with a different power supply, but that did not work.

I tried contacting them through the virtual assistant, but they said the serial number was invalid. I watched the video, I know how to locate the serial number, it is the right serial number.

What can I do for my monitor?

Hi @bng705,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry you're dealing with this frustrating issue, especially after trying different solutions and facing difficulties with support. Let's try a few steps to get your monitor working again and explore ways to resolve the serial number problem.

  • Have you tried connecting the monitor to a different computer or using a different display cable to rule out a connection issue?
  • Did the monitor show any signs of issues (such as dimming or unusual colors) before the flickering started?
  • Is there any visible damage to the monitor, such as loose connections or burnt smells from the power port?

Let's try these steps.

Try a Different Display Port:

  • Connect the monitor to your computer using a different port (HDMI/DisplayPort) to see if the issue is with the input source.

Perform a Power Reset:

  • Unplug the monitor and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  • Leave it disconnected for a few minutes, then plug it back in and try turning it on.

Check for Faulty Cables:

  • Test the monitor with different power and display cables to rule out a possible cable failure.

Inspect for Indicator Lights or Sounds:

  • Look for any faint power indicator lights or sounds when pressing the power button, which could indicate a partial hardware failure.

Resolve the Serial Number Issue with HP:

  • Double-check if the serial number is entered correctly, ensuring there are no spaces or typos.

If you purchased the monitor recently, check with the retailer for support options.

If none of these steps help and the monitor is still under warranty, I recommend you contact phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
