I'm experiencing the same problem on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

 

This morning it was charging no problem, but then stopped altogheter and can't get to get it charging again. Already tried resetting the PRAM. Has anyone experienced any advances?

I am now seeing the same thing.  I have been trying to track down why sometimes it charges and other times it does not.

 

The closest I have come is boot sequence.

Laptop off, connect Accelerator, Open laptop lid, boot to desktop, close lid works most of the time.  Any variation seems to result in everything working but not charging.  It is very odd.

 

The Accelerator conforms to the PD spec.

 

I am still trying to find a windows machine with TB3 to see if updating the accelerator firmware affects this behavior.

Also on my late 2016 MBP the TB3 ports on the right hand side are more reliable for charging from the accelerator.

 

This is all anecdotal through trial and error.
