Try this
Right-click on the shortcut to your application that has blurry fonts, then select 'Properties'. Then tab 'Compatibility'. Then enable 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' and hit 'Apply'. then restart your application, and you see it will look good.
You have to set the nvidia/windows for the same resolution as your monitor. You'll also have to set every add-on game to the same resolution. Most games/programs etc default to 1080p widescreen (1920x1080) but if you have an older square type monitor that's 1024x768, then it's going to look wierd since widescreen is 16:9 and square monitors are 4:3 aspect ratios.
The resolution of the monitor should be listed on the sticker on the back, or failing that you can usually Google the model number for the info.

Hmmm
so you have a new monitor. Omen.
getting high res reds and blues and blurred text
using Display Port. (what is the GPU?)
You installed all correct drivers for GPU and Monitor
you adjusted all setting in software and monitor spec
did you try all the DP Ports on the GPU?
the question becomes
did you buy monitor from store or second hand
Did you use the DP Cable that came or a different one
Now we’ll review continuity
are all the pins in the cable monitor and GPU Laying flat
without obstruction, hair, lint dust..
have you inspected the cable for chew marks damage
is the ferrous barrel still on the cable, they are important
is the power supply for the monitor putting out correctly
Next, how about grounding?
Is GPU seated in motherboard correctly 100%
is the computer, monitor, power strip or backups
functioning properly and suffiently grounded!
and my favorite for apartment dwellers
have you moved the PC elsewhere to see if it does same
i had one instance where the EMF energy cases this
by being too close to a main power trunk in an
apartment and another being too close to transformer
on pole outside window to house.
