Hi
I recently bought a new monitor, the Omen 27".
Now i'm facing issues with the gsync. In few situation i got a very bad flickering and i have to disable the feature.
The strange thing is that this is not everywhere.
For example
- Overwatch -> all fine
- LeagueOfLegends (loading screen/end screen) -> flickering
- LeagueOfLegends (inGame) -> all fine
- Aion (inGame) -> hard flickering.
Right now these are the specs
Hp Omen 27" - gsync enabled for full windows (tried also the windowed full screen mode) - 144hz.
gtx 1070
I have all nvidia driver updated (also tried using DDU and reinstall other versions... same problem)
In all the game if possible i cap the fps at 144 and disabled vsync
Here is a video with an example of the problem
(sry for the rotated viideo... don't know why to be honest).
Anyway here as first we are in the "loading screen, with flickering , then when enter in game it stop.
Thanks
Daniele

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
- Have you tried changing the display resolution?
- Have you tried with different games or video?
- Have you tried updating the Monitor firmware?
- Have you tried updating the Nvidia drivers?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Let's try disabling the HP G-Sync.
- Right click on your desktop.
- Select NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Expand the display item in the sidebar.
- Click on set up G-Sync.
- Check the box next to disable G-Sync.
- Below this choose whether you want G-Sync enabled/disabled for only full screen or full screen and windowed modes.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hi, ty for your answer
Here the points you asked
- Tried change resolution and the issue is the same
- Tried more games. In someone the flickering is present, in other not (the gsync is not a game-related thing. Is just something between the monitor and the graphics card output)
- How can i upgrade it? I installed the drivers if it's enough
- I tried more different drivers (also based on geforce forum support). But no one worked. Now i've the latest.
- The Product nr is : Z4D33AA
Disabling the Gsync make all working fine, i knew that. But i don't wanna do it. I bought the monitor to use it.
Thanks you
Daniele
