Hi @maninder9312,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 4-1 on your HP Reverb G2 VR headset indicates a tracking issue. It means that the headset is not receiving proper tracking information from the sensors, resulting in a lack of light and functionality.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps.

  • Check the connections: Ensure that all the cables connecting the headset to your computer are securely plugged in. Disconnect and reconnect them if necessary, making sure they are firmly connected.
  • USB port: Use a different USB port on your computer to connect the headset. Sometimes, certain USB ports may not provide enough power or have compatibility issues. USB 3.0 ports are recommended for optimal performance.
  • Update drivers and firmware: Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware installed for your VR headset. Visit the official HP support website and download any available updates for your device.
  • Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches or conflicts.
  • Check lighting conditions: Ensure that the room where you are using the headset has adequate lighting. Dimly lit environments or extreme lighting conditions can affect the tracking capabilities of the headset.
  • Clean the headset sensors: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the external sensors on the headset. Dust or smudges on the sensors can interfere with tracking accuracy.
  • Disable USB power saving: In your computer's power management settings, disable USB power saving options. This ensures that the USB ports provide a consistent power supply to the headset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
