Hi,
I wanted to start a conversation here with HP to register feedback about how completely disappointed I am to hear that HP plans to simply let the HP Reverb G2 simple die out as soon as WMR is deprecated and removed from future versions of windows. As a product owner, I find it completely ridiculous to buy hardware less than 3 years ago which works perfectly fine but will no longer work due to missing software packages that the product team could create to make the headset continue to work with Steam VR. It is not an acceptable answer for HP to recommend to customers that we simply stop updates for our operating systems or downgrade to windows 10 to keep using the product. Even if your product is in maintenance mode, you should still attempt to see if it's possible to release a software release which could allow users of the HP reverb G2 to use Steam VR. HP **should** on behalf of your customers make it known to Microsoft about how this is a terrible move. Serious damage to trust for HP products will happen as a result of this as I am now completely concerned about product support for any future HP product and may consider not purchasing anything at all in the future from HP ever again.

Hello,
It seems you're having trouble with your HP Reverb G2 WMR Steam VR. If you’re encountering issues like the headset not being recognized or display problems, try checking the connections and ensuring that all cables are securely plugged into the correct ports. Also, ensure that your system meets the recommended specifications for the HP Reverb G2, as underpowered systems may cause performance issues.
You can also try updating your VR software and graphics drivers to the latest versions, as this can often resolve compatibility problems.
If the issue persists, it might be helpful to reach out to HP support or the retailer for further troubleshooting. For more information and assistance on VR setups and accessories, visit www.pcstudio.in for expert advice and solutions.

I am having trouble understanding the issue of WMR deprecation and HP G2.
I am Win 11 23H2 with all updates up to 2025-04 Cumulative (KB5055528). I also use the OpenXR Toolkit (Modded).
WMR and the toolkit seem to work perfectly for me in Assetto Corso and Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020.
What does the deprecation of WMR mean for me? How long will my WMR/G2 continue to operate as they have for several years now.?
