Warning to those who would purchase items from HP:

Go to the HP website, and you see all kinds of products being shoved in your face.
So, you break down and purchase one of these products.
Lo and behold, it's time to get support or (a) replacement part(s), and the website that so fervently advertised your product--your product cant be found!!
(They've got the new-and-improved, "updated" model though.)

I am sorry you are frustrated.

Your device is covered by a warranty for that device.

If the device serial number is not listed in the database used to check the serial number, it is true that the automatic submission might fail.

The issue can be sorted.

An agent who has access can help you submit your case to HP Support.

Unfortunately, I have long thrown the box away--expecting the serial number to be found ON ,my HP Reverb VR1000 headset.  Oops!

Well, now that I'll NEVER know the serial number, I guess I'll NEVER be able to use this website--for this headset.
