Was this the fix that was recommended by support? I am having similar issues but would like to avoid reinstalling if I can 😞

No it wasnt an official recommendation. i did it after finding that the headset worked without problems on a different PC. I think the issue may lie with the WMR portal or driver conflicts between some unknown programs. try it on another computer first to see if it is any better...
