HP Chromebook - 14-ak041dx
Chrome OS

I have a not that old Chromebook and recently I wanted to game on it just for times when I can’t get on my Console, and I tried to connect a wired Xbox controller to my laptop. But it won’t work nor would the controller would turn on. I tried it on other family laptops that have windows and it works on them but not on my laptop. Is it because I have a Chrome OS operating system, or is there a possible way to fix this? Any quick support is greatly appreciated.

No, it is a wired controller.

Please ask Xbox support people, not HP. It should have a cable (microUSB at one end and normal USB at the other end), you can simply plug to USB port.
