Hi @ZlobniyVinya,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you want to enable or customize the home button on your HP laptop without using the OMEN Gaming Hub, you can try the following steps.
Check Keyboard Settings:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Typing.
- Look for any options related to key assignments or function keys and make sure they are set to your preference.
Use Windows Key Shortcuts:
- You can use Windows Key + D to quickly show the desktop or Windows Key + E to open File Explorer. While this doesn’t directly enable the "home" button, it provides similar functionality.
Create a Custom Shortcut:
- Right-click on your desktop and select New > Shortcut.
- In the location field, you can enter a command for the action you want (e.g., explorer.exe to open File Explorer).
- Name the shortcut and click Finish.
- You can then assign a keyboard shortcut to this new shortcut by right-clicking it, selecting Properties, and entering a combination in the Shortcut key field.
Update or Reinstall Drivers:
- Ensure your keyboard drivers are up to date. Go to Device Manager > Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
- If the issue persists, you might want to uninstall and reinstall the driver.
Check HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant and check if there are any updates or settings related to keyboard functionality.
If none of these methods work, it could be that the functionality of the home button is limited by the hardware or software configuration of your specific laptop model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
