Hello! My mouse had been working just fine up until yesterday. It's a wireless mouse and I've tried recharging it as well as plugging it into different USB ports (my laptop has 2). However, nothing seems to work and I've tried several recommendations in the community such as going through the Command Prompt and using HP's PC Hardware Diagnostics test.
When I turn it on, the bluetooth light blinks for 5 times and then the light above the switch blinks orange and white. I'm not sure on what to do next, do give some recommendations!

@DanicaChloe Greetings from the HP Community!
I suggest you check the option under settings (on the right side menu) mentioned as "more Bluetooth options".
Click on that and then enable "allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer".
Once you check the box to enable it, It should connect without any issues.
Ensure the device is connected to a USB 3.0 port, if that isn't working on a USB 2.0,
Also, check with an alternate laptop or computer and see if that works.
Keep us posted,

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. I have tried the suggested solution but it still does not work, unfortunately. Would it be a problem with the mouse or the laptop and is there any other possible solution to this?
Many thanks,
Danica

@DanicaChloe Better late than never 😉
You may want to use the mouse with an alternate device to check if that works on it, just to confirm what's causing the issue and let me know if it works.
Keep me posted.
