Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Hp elitebook 8470p with 8gb ram intel core i5v pro with intel integrated graphics and i want to change it with nvidia geforce 710 is the laptop graphics card switchable

Firstly the GT 710 won't physically fit.

 

The main thing is your machine ONLY has iGPU therefore no MXM slot to add anything. Many machines of the series have AMD Radeon HD 7570M, with 1GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory. You can buy

 

(a) a different machine or

(b) different System board on page 107 of the following manual
