@SB1987, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If one of the keys on your laptop is automatically being pressed continuously, it could be due to a hardware issue with the keyboard or a software issue such as a stuck modifier key or driver conflict. Here are a few steps you can take to identify the problem:

Check for Physical Obstructions: Ensure that there is no debris or something stuck beneath the key that could be causing it to be pressed down.

Restart the Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve minor software glitches.

Check Software Settings: Ensure that no accessibility settings or software configurations are causing the key to behave incorrectly (such as Sticky Keys).

Update Keyboard Drivers: Check if updating the keyboard drivers helps to resolve the issue. You can do this through the Device Manager on Windows.

External Keyboard Test: If possible, connect an external keyboard to your laptop to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is hardware-related to the laptop's keyboard.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
